HACC Dominates on SOphomore Night with Sweep of Delaware County Phantoms
Harrisburg, Pa. — The Harrisburg Area Community College women's volleyball team celebrated Sophomore Night in style, delivering a commanding 3–0 sweep over the Delaware County Community College Phantoms on Monday evening inside the Evans Physical Education Center.
Set scores were 25–3, 25–10, 25–14, as the Hawks put on a powerful offensive display to close out their regular-season home slate with a statement victory.
Offense Soars for the Hawks
HACC set the tone early, dominating the opening set with a .722 hitting percentage, their best of the night. Sophomore standout Peyton Maass led the charge with a match-high 18 kills on 22 swings, hitting an impressive .636. She also added 17 digs and 1 service ace, earning a 20-point performance.
Right behind her was Brooklyn Camara, who contributed 16 kills with a .524 hitting percentage and added 2 aces for 19 total points.
Sophomore Kelly Bastian had a near-perfect night from the service line, delivering 13 service aces while tallying 11 kills on 13 attempts for a remarkable .769 hitting percentage.
Setter Jillian Fulkroad efficiently ran the offense, dishing out 43 assists as the Hawks registered 51 total kills and hit .486 as a team.
Defensive Lockdown
Defensively, HACC was just as sharp, recording 39 digs and limiting the Phantoms to zero kills across all three sets. The Hawks' front row also notched two solo blocks and a block assist, controlling the net from start to finish.
A Night to Celebrate Sophomores
The evening wasn't just about the win—it was a celebration of the Hawks' sophomore class. Players like Peyton Maass, Alexis Snelbaker, Aliza Sellars, and Kelly Bastian were honored pregame for their dedication and impact on the program.
