HACC Pulls Away Late to Defeat Delaware County CC, 83-68
Harrisburg, PA -Harrisburg Area Community College turned a competitive first half into a convincing road win Saturday afternoon, knocking off Delaware County Community College 83–68 at Delaware CC.
The Hawksheld a slim 44–37 advantage at the break before asserting control in the second half behind efficient shooting and balanced scoring. HACC finished the game shooting an impressive 55.9 percent from the floor and a perfect 10-for-10 from three-point range, creating separation as the game wore on.
Jaiden Wiley led all scorers for HACC with 20 points, connecting on 8-of-15 shots and knocking down all four of his attempts from beyond the arc. Eli Vega followed with a strong all-around performance, pouring in 16 points while adding four assists and two steals. William Bryd added 12 points and made his presence felt defensively with three blocks, while Kaden Folk provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
HACC's depth proved to be a difference-maker, as the bench combined for timely contributions on both ends of the floor. The Hawks also forced 19 turnovers and converted those opportunities into transition offense, keeping Delaware County from finding sustained momentum.
Delaware County CC was led by Jabree Martin, who finished with a game-high 29 points on 9-of-25 shooting and went 7-for-8 from the free-throw line. Stephen Rosemin added 17 points and dished out seven assists, while Omar Warring recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Despite those efforts, Delaware County struggled with ball security and shot just 44.4 percent overall.
With the win, HACC continued its strong play away from home, using efficiency, defensive pressure, and balanced scoring to close out the afternoon in convincing fashion.
