Harrisburg, PA – The Hawks Esports starts the spring season strong, capturing two wins in Call of Duty Vanguard and Rocket League. The Hawks defeated Bergen Community College 3-0 in Call of Duty Vanguard and the Southwest Chargers 3-0 in Rocket League.

CoD Vanguard

The Hawks CoD Vanguard team took on the Bergen Community College Bulldogs in a best of five series.  The first match started off in the map type "Hardpoint", where players must hold points of interest that change throughout the match.  Andrew "D0nks" Dunkel and Carter "Blight Eagle" Klein proved to be no match for the Bulldogs, as they rotated to each point with surgical aim, giving the first map to the Hawks.  The second map type was "Search and Destroy", where some quick peeks by Abishek "Avi" Rimal and a bomb plant gave the Hawks the winning edge they needed to secure a victory in the second map.  The third and final map was played in "Control", where both teams have a 30-life limit and two objectives they must defend in a 3-round series. The Hawks dominated the map, ending the series 3-0, capturing the first win for the Vanguard team.

Rocket League

The HACC Hawks Rocket League team began their spring opener with a best of five series against the Southwest Tech Chargers. The HACC Hawks Rocket League team; Brady "Voltres" Sartori, Benjamin "HelloLADY" Doutrich and volunteer from the Overwatch Intercollegiate team, Kyle "GouldieLox" Gould, dominated the series in a 3-0 victory.  The Chargers struggling to put points on the board, were no match to the well-polished HACC Hawks team, who have been building team cohesiveness throughout the off-season.

The Hawks Esports Super Smash Bros Ultimate team takes on Central Wyoming College Wednesday, February 16, 2022. The match is set to start at 6 p.m.
