HACC's Call of Duty Team Wins Friday; Secures Playoff Spot

On Friday, the HACC Hawks Call of Duty Black Ops team went up against the University of South Carolina Sumter Fireants in a best of 3 series. The first match was played in Search and Destroy RAID map, and the Fireants came out quickly and decisively, securing the first match for the Fireants.  During the second match, the Hawks Benjamin “Bpappi” Lehr was subbed in and helped the Hawks make a comeback on one of their weakest match ups in the game type: Hardpoint.  This secured a victory in the 2nd game for the Hawks.  On the 3rd map team captain, Bryce “Bdaddy” Strine exploded with a streak of kills that gave the HACC Hawks the airstrike they needed to secure the last map, giving the series victory to the HACC Hawks 2-1.

This win put the HACC Hawks Call of Duty team tied for 2nd place with the CASC Vikings.  Due to the NJCAAe rules, a tie breaker is broken by the head-to-head matchup record for the teams.  The Hawks beat the CASC Vikings in the regular season, giving the Hawks the tie breaker. So, in their inaugural season, the HACC Hawks Call of Duty Black Ops team is heading to the PLAYOFFS!!  LET'S GO HAWKS!
