Women's basketball lost a close game tonight against Penn State York. The Hawks started off strong in the first quarter behind strong performances from Cameron Koppenhaver and Olivia Macedo. The second quarter proved troublesome for the Hawks, getting into foul trouble early in the quarter. The end of the first half had the Hawks down by 3. The third quarter, the Hawks came out with strong defense and Koppenhaver had several strong put backs from rebounds. The fourth quarter was a back and forth battle between the Hawks and the Lady Lions. Penn State York pulled out the win in the last 30 seconds on the free throw line.
Koppenhaver had a double double, 15 points and 15 rebounds. She also had 7 blocks on the night. Macedo led the team offensively with 21 points and had 3 steals. The ladies look to bounce back against conference opponent Northampton, Saturday. The game will be at Northampton at 12 pm.
