Women's Basketball Improves to 2-1 Overall, 1-1 in Conference Play

Women's basketball improved to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play last night with a win over Lehigh Carbon.  Led by Olivia Macedo and Sara Desso, the Hawks battled back in the second quarter to take a 26-17 lead going into halftime.  The ladies kept extending their lead through the third and fourth quarters to take the win, 68-36. 

Brittany Krick and Sara Desso played strong defense with 3 steals each.  Krick had 9 defensive rebounds and Cameron Koppenhaver added another 8 strong defensive rebounds.  The team played shut down defense against Lehigh Carbon's top players, holding them to 3 points in the fourth quarter. 

Offensively, Macedo led the team with 26 points that sparked the Hawks on the offensive side.  Desso and Koppenhaver added 13 and 12 points respectively.  The ladies look strong heading into their next game against Penn State York, Thursday, November 29th at 6 pm.
