Women's Basketball falls to Montgomery County, 36-48

Montgomery County proved to be too much for the women's basketball team last evening.

The Hawks started strong in the first quarter, lead offensively by Cameron Koppenhaver.  She scored 10 of her 17 points in the quarter.  The Mustangs came back strong in the second quarter and were leading at halftime, 26-20.  The defense shut down the Hawk offensive in the third quarter, holding the Hawks to 6 points.  The fourth quarter had the ladies making a come back but foul trouble left the Hawks with only 4 players to finish the game.  While the ladies still fought to come back, they could not contain the second shot efforts by Montgomery County's Taylor Keys.

Koppenhaver lead in scoring with 17 points and had 9 rebounds and 5 blocks.  Kaylee Gessner was perfect from the free throw line at 6 for 6 and had 7 rebounds.  Brittany Krick had 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

For their last home and regular season game, the Hawks will face top ranked Community College of Philadelphia at 1 pm.  Come out and support the Hawks!
