The women traveled to Community College of Philadelphia on Saturday. The Colonials got out to a quick start and the Hawks were unable to overcome the deficit. Olivia Macedo led the Hawks with 21 points and 7 defensive rebounds. Turnovers and the height of the Colonials proved too much for the Hawks.
The ladies next game was against Central Penn College. The Hawks kept it close through three quarters but being short-handed cost them in the fourth. Olivia Macedo and Cameron Koppenhaver cut the lead in the third and Koppenhaver's defense helped to keep the Hawks close. Brittany Krick had 3 steals to help the Hawks as well. Offensively, Koppenhaver and Macedo led the team. Koppenhaver had a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Macedo had 13 points and 8 rebounds and Sara Desso had 11 rebounds for the Hawks.
The team looks to bounce back against Region XIX opponent Middlesex County College at home this Saturday. Tip off for the women will be at 1 pm.
