Women's Basketball lost a tough game last night against conference opponent Montgomery County. The Mustangs came out fast and the Hawks weren't able to overcome the lead they had. The first half proved the undoing for the ladies, with Montgomery having a 14 point lead at the half. The Hawks came back strong in the third, cutting the lead down to 6 points, but the fourth quarter had the Mustangs overpowering the Hawks and winning the game by 9 points.
Sara Desso had a strong outing to bring the Hawks back into the game with 18 points. Cameron Koppenhaver had 9 points, 3 blocks, and 11 rebounds, Caroline Schmidt had 10 points and 7 rebounds, and Olivia Macedo added 11 points and 3 blocks for the Hawks.
The team looks to bounce back against Community College of Philadelphia this Saturday. It will be another tough road test for the ladies as the Colonials sit on top of the EPAC Conference right now at 3-0.
