Men's Basketball at 1-1 to Start the Season

Men's Basketball started their season on Saturday against EPAC opponent Community College of Philadelphia.  The team had a tough game and met a strong opponent in the CCP Lions.  Coach Ryan Borzager said they ran into a bigger and stronger team and just couldn't get the stops when they needed to.  Chris Adams Jr and Travis Biney lead the team in rebounding and Luis Aquino-Rios lead the team in scoring.  Coach Borzager stated that the team will take the positive to move on and learn from the game.

The team traveled to Lehigh Carbon CC on Tuesday.  The team came out a little slow but started to pick things up late in the first half.  Curtis Robinson came off the bench and had 5 steals to spark the Hawks defense and help the team to take the lead at half time.  Tate Pendell and Jaraud Smith had strong games for the Hawks offensively, each with 14 points.  Biney came on strong in the second half and added another 14 points for the Hawks.  He and Adams Jr lead the team in rebounding again, both with 6 rebounds each.  It was a team effort for the Hawks to pull out the win on the road.

The team will travel to PSU York Thursday and will have their home opener at 2 pm on Saturday vs EPAC opponent Delaware County CC.  Come out and support the HAWKS!
