Men's Basketball Defeats Montgomery County, Extending Their Win Streak

Men's Basketball defeated Montgomery County Tuesday night, extending their win streak to 7-0.  The game was truly a team effort, with the bench contributing significant minutes and providing offensive and defensive sparks when the Hawks needed them most.

Coach Branam says that the team started slow but made up for it at the free throw line and getting defensive stops.  The game was 33-31 at the half and the Mustangs came out strong for the second half.  The Hawks switched to a zone defense to slow down the offensive push by the Mustangs.  The last five minutes of the game saw the Hawks pulling away and sealing the victory.

Offensively, Chase Arnold and Onterio Edmonds led the Hawks with 16 points.  Arnold had 5 assists and 3 steals as well.  Austin Greene added 13 points and had 5 assists and Kareem Hicks had 13 points and 7 rebounds.  The Hawks were 16-21 from the free throw line and controlled the pace for most of the second half.

The Hawks will be at home Thursday night at 7 pm against Harford Community College.  Come out and support the Hawks!
