Men's Basketball brought their record to 6-0 Saturday, defeating Northampton, 78-67. Coach Jon Branam stated that he was very happy with the bench production. Kareem Hicks was a major contributor and gave solid minutes for the team. His offensive rebounding lead to several key second chance points for the Hawks. Austin Greene was key in leading the Hawks offensively with 5 assists and 18 points and was aggressive in the late second half. Chase Arnold had no turnovers for the game and 4 assists, and stepped up in his role of point guard to calmly lead the team. Hicks had his second double double of the season, with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
"Overall, it was a team win for the Hawks and they came ready to play", says Coach Branam. He is pleased with the tenacity and hard work the team is showing, and they look to improve on turnovers and foul shooting every game.
The Hawks will face a tough test this week. They will be back in action at Montgomery County on Tuesday, home on Thursday against Harford Community College at 7 pm, and travel Saturday to Community College of Philadelphia. The team looks to keep keep improving offensively and defensively and work together to continue their win streak.
