Under first year Head Coach Jon Branam, the team pulled together in the second half of the season to make it to the playoffs for the second year in a row. When faced with adversity entering the spring semester, the coaching staff and players adjusted their game and came together as a team. The team featured four returning sophomores, Ramel Stephens, DeJuan Davis, Stephen Berger, and Nebiy Easays. They helped to lead the team through the season. Freshmen Jordan Lynch-Rexroth, Brady DeShong, Doug Smith, Jay Wittle, and Clemency Mwaseba helped round out the team and provide great play for the Hawks.
The Hawks were lead by sophomore Ramel Stephens, who finished his two year career at HACC with a total of 922 points, 68 assists, 233 rebounds, field goal percentage of 48.6%, free throw percentage of 79.6%, and averaged 18.1 points per game over the two years. There were several games where different players stepped up to help lead the Hawks to victory throughout the year. During a must win game versus Thaddeus Stevens, DeJuan Davis helped his teammates by providing 24 assists for the game. His effort lead to teammates Stephens' 30 points and Jordan Lynch-Rexroth's 26 points. This win helped propel the Hawks back into the playoff hunt.
While the Hawks were defeated by Ocean CC in the playoffs, the coaching staff and potential returners are ready to continue to build on this season.
