HACC Women's Volleyball Ranked #9 in NJCAA Division III

HACC Women's Volleyball made the national poll this week, coming in at #9 in the NJCAA Division III rankings.  This is the first time a HACC team has been ranked nationally since joining the NJCAA in 2012.  The team is 14-0 on the season right now.  They are ranked in the top ten in several categories as a team.  They are #1 in service aces with a total of 287, #1 in service aces per set with an average of 6.83 per set, and #1 in points per set, averaging 17.5 points per set.  They are #3 as a team in hitting percentage and #3 in assists per set.  Several individuals on the team are also ranked in the top ten in several categories.  Kara Starr is ranked #7 in hitting percentage, #4 in service aces per set at 1.39, and #4 in total service aces with 57.  Lenisa Berrios is ranked #5 in service aces per set at 1.38 and ranked #6 in total service aces with 54.  Hannah van Pelt is ranked #10 in hitting percentage for the Hawks.

The team works well together and combines for devastating defensive play and lethal offensive play.  They are continuing to pursue their goal of being the EPAC Champion, Region 19 Champion, and returning to the National Tournament in November.

The team returns to play on Saturday at Lehigh Carbon for a tri-match and will play at home on October 8th at 6 pm versus Harcum College.
