Women's basketball has had a short season but has come together as a team.  Each player has grown and worked on their skills to become better individually and together.  Sophomore Olivia Bernardini averages 10 points per game, Freshman Nassara Phillips averages 6.5 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game, and Sophomore transfer Sadie Beaver has 13.3 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game and has 13 steals on the season.  First year Coach Danny Joyner is pleased with the work the team has put in and is looking forward to the last 4 games.  He and Assistant Coach Krista Rector are looking to continue to build and grow the Women's Basketball program through the rest of the season and during the off season.

Men's basketball continued to grow and come together under first year Coach Ryan Borzager.  There have been ups and downs for the Hawks but the second half of the season, the team has played hard with limited players against stiff opposition.  Sophomore Chris Adams Jr. leads the team is rebounds with 7.9 rebounds per game and has 91 defensive rebounds on the year.  Adams Jr. also averages 12.1 points per game as well for the Hawks.  Sophomore Travis Biney averages 5.9 rebounds per game and 12.5 points per game for the Hawks.  Freshman Jaraud Smith, who came back from injury in January, averages 11.8 points per game and sophomore Tate Pendell averages 13.9 points per game and has 21 steals on the year.  Pendell is consistent from three point range for the Hawks, which opens up the lane for Adams Jr. and give Biney and Smith driving lanes to score off the dribble.  Faran Nadeem's defense has helped put pressure on the outside shooters of opposing teams.  The team plays hard and together for 40 minutes.  Coach Borzager is looking to finish the year strong and continue to build the program for the Hawks.

Come out and see your HAWKS play Tuesday night at 5 pm and 7 pm!  Get a stress ball and enter in for a chance at a shootout for gift certificates!  Let's GO HAWKS!
